Yesterday: "The one thing that's clear is that this campaign is going on. There some people who thought it was all going to be done tonight. But it's not all going to be done. We're going to keep battling, we're going to go all the way to the convention and we're going to win the White House."
Today: "I know that many in this room are fully behind my campaign [ravenous CPAC applause].... Finding and executing Osama bin Laden.... Making it easier for Senator Obama or Clinton to win.... I cannot let my campaign be an aid to terror.... I entered this race because I love America. And because I love America I feel I must step aside [stunned silence]. For party and for country."
Mitt's a loser. Ann looks stunned (like she just flushed $15 million down the toilet). By forcing that sack of limp Willard to quit, doesn't that mean the terrorists win?
So if McCain drops dead between now and the convention, Huck then has a clear shot to the presidency. - OR - I imagine Huck getting the VP slot with McCain and then McCain keeling over dead sometime before January 2009. Maybe Walt's "Huckabee's a stone cold lock to be our next president" is a viable reality.
